While up high in the Uinta Mountains yesterday morning I photographed this female Tree Swallow checking out a nesting cavity in a Quaking Aspen.
One of the Uinta Ground Squirrels stood up and simply looked around right on the shoulder of the road and I couldn't resist photographing it.
Finding Red-naped Sapsuckers feeding chicks at a nesting cavity in the Uintas made my day!
Two years ago today was cloudy and sometimes gray much like today but I was not in Salt Lake County then instead I was on a journey in the Ashley National Forest.
So, a quick post this morning of a Clark's Nutcracker that I photographed in July of 2008 on my first trip to Utah to photograph birds prior to moving here in 2009.
