I've been meaning to share this Raccoon photo since April. This image was taken on my second trip to Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma this spring.
When I visited Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge with my friend Steve Creek, I was tickled to take several Raccoon images from various locations at the refuge.
While photographing a Great Blue Heron at the first bridge I spotted a dark shape running, slipping and sliding on the snow-covered ice and could see that it was a Raccoon.
This young Raccoon looks as grumpy as I feel this morning.
When I lived in Florida I saw Raccoons (Procyon lotor) all over the state. In the wild, the not so wild and in the streets of the cities. But that isn't how it is in Utah.
