Cassin's Finch males look to me like they have been dipped in raspberry juice and that color is very vibrant especially in sweet light.

This Western Tanager was photographed last summer at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in the Centennial Valley of Beaverhead County, Montana.
Prolonged male Horned Lark preening session
Yesterday I came across this very cooperative male Horned Lark (Eremophila alpestris). This male bird preened for a full seven minutes and I took 256 images of it.
