Curious Short-eared Owl Fledgling At Bear River MBR
I took quite a few photos of the fledgling Short-eared Owl that I had a clear view of and even though the lighting wasn't the best I was enchanted by the views I had of it.

The young Short-eared Owl in this photo was parallaxing when I photographed it in which basically means the fledgling owl was moving its head to gain different viewpoints.
This Short-eared Owl fledgling spent a lot of time looking at the vehicle on the far side of the road parallaxing with its head tilted or bobbing up and down.
It felt amazing to be alone with these northern Utah Short-eared Owl chicks for a few brief moments yesterday.
You might wonder why I think it is tough being a bird photographer when it comes to Burrowing Owls.
If you have never had the opportunity to photograph Burrowing Owl juveniles I would suggest you find a burrow and be prepared to laugh yourself silly.
