Today's image is a grasshopper on a pickup and its reflection. I don't have any idea what species it is but I hopped out of the pickup to take the photo.
I have struggled for the past four days trying to identify a bright green grasshopper nymph that I found on a Common Mullein up in the Wasatch Mountains.
I researched Utah's grasshoppers and found out that this is a Two-striped Grasshopper (Melanoplus bivittatus) and even though I may have seen this species of grasshopper before it is a photographic lifer for me.
Lark Sparrows are the easiest sparrows to identify that inhabit Antelope Island State Park with their bold facial patterns and white edged tails.
Marbled Godwits are graceful birds while on the ground, feeding and in flight.
