The sound you hear in the video is just one Western Grebe chick begging to be fed and it was loud even over the wind!
When I lived in Florida I was able to see and photograph juvenile Royal Terns on the Gulf Coast were they could be seen along the shoreline and they were usually begging the adults for food.
Last year in mid August I photographed a very cooperative juvenile Barn Swallow at Bear River MBR and realized I hadn't posted any images of the bird or written about my encounter with it.
Late last month I photographed a Western Kingbird family in Box Elder County where the juveniles kept begging for food from the adult.
So even though I didn't come home with many Burrowing Owls images yesterday these Western Kingbird images more than made up for it!
It was a Sapsuckery trip to Montana and Idaho last week, with Red-naped and Williamson's Sapsuckers at their nesting cavities
