Pelicans, Boobies and Frigatebirds
Families: Pelecanidae, Sulidae, Fregatidae.
Ten species in three families occur regularly in North America. All are fish-eating seabirds with webbed feet. Pelicans are large with long bills and pouches. Boobies and gannets have long narrow wings and catch fish underwater by diving. Frigatebirds are mostly black, soar gracefully in the sky, and pluck prey from the surface of water.
I hope you enjoy viewing my pelican, booby, gannet and frigatebird photos.
