The Stories Behind My Images
Highlights Of My Bird Photography Trip Yesterday to Bear River MBR
When a bird photography trip up to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge starts with me spotting not just one but two Snowy Plovers out on the flats I just know the day is off to a great start and that is what happened yesterday morning.
‘Tis The Season For Uinta Ground Squirrel Babies
I've been seeing baby Uinta Ground Squirrels and two days ago I was finally able to photograph some of the cute little balls of fur near their burrow.
Broad-tailed Hummingbird Bliss in The Wasatch Mountains
I spent yesterday morning enjoying a Broad-tailed Hummingbird bliss in the Wasatch Mountains by finding their favorite perches and photographing them feeding, resting, and defending their territories.

The Stories Behind My Images
Female Red-winged Blackbird Munching A Midge
What I liked about this photo was that I caught the female Red-winged Blackbird with her bill open while she was munching on a midge.
Spring Yellow-headed Blackbird Male Photos
I was at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge yesterday morning and came home with some spring Yellow-headed Blackbird photos I am happy with.
Listening To A Marsh Wren Serenade
I spent a few minutes with a singing Marsh Wren that I spotted in the marsh at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge last week. The tiny wren wasn't close so pointing him out was no easy task.
Spotting A Short-eared Owl In The Distance
What caught my attention was this adult male Short-eared Owl perched on a bush way out in the distance in the middle of a rancher's field.
