Madison County lies in the southwestern part of the state of Montana. It is bordered by the states of Idaho to the west and Wyoming to the south. The county is known for its stunning mountain ranges and rich history, making it a picturesque destination for photography.

The county’s terrain is characterized by the Madison Range and the Tobacco Root Mountains, with its highest point being Hollowtop Mountain at 11,158 feet above sea level.

Madison County is home to several notable geographic features, including the beautiful Madison River, which winds through the valley, and numerous pristine lakes such as Ennis Lake and Hebgen Lake.
