Ovis canadensis

Bighorn Sheep were named for their large horns which in males, or rams, can weigh up to 30 pounds. Female Bighorn Sheep, or ewes, have smaller, more slender horns.

I've only photographed Bighorn Sheep (Mountain Sheep some people call them) a few times and here they were, calmly foraging close to where I was! I was thrilled and excited.
