It won’t be long before I see my last White-throated Sparrow. They’ll be migrating to their breeding grounds very soon, and I won’t see them again until fall.

Because I know that, I felt it was important for me to photograph the White-throated Sparrows I saw yesterday. I’ll miss their sweet melodic songs and calls, but I’ve been very happy to have them in my viewfinder for as long as I have.

Plus, this past winter, I was thrilled to photograph White-throated Sparrows in a snowstorm! I used to see them in snowstorms in my yard and garden in Virginia, so it was a treat to see them in those conditions through my viewfinder again.

These sparrows bring me joy, plain and simple.

Note:

You may have noticed my site having issues.

If the photos don’t load, please come back later and try again. Thanks for your patience.

I’ve been working on the problem, which seems to be related to my database. I hope to have it resolved soon, it may even mean migrating my site to another host.

Until then, I’ll keep right on sharing my love of birds, nature, and my time in the field.

Life is good.

Mia
