During the recent snowstorm in Arkansas, I was happy to have Carolina Wrens in my viewfinder, despite the snowy and foggy weather conditions. I was more than delighted.

The Carolina Wrens fed on suet and nuts as snow fell over two days. At times, they flew and landed just inches from me, while chattering away.
I’m thoroughly enjoying seeing, hearing, and photographing these active, entertaining wrens. I missed them during my years out west.

I took quite a few images of the Carolina Wrens in the snow, and I don’t regret it at all. Heavy snowfall isn’t all that common here in Arkansas, so I wanted to take full advantage of the recent snowstorm while I could. The wrens cooperated, and I was one happy woman, for sure.
Life is good.

Beautiful Wren pics. I am always impressed with how well you balance your subjects against the background. Especially with something as unforgiving as snow. Thanks Mia.
Beautiful
Neat shots. I always love the way these Wrens look perpetually “concerned.”
Such dainty little charmers. I am STILL relishing your snow.
