A group of warblers is called a bouquet. This small collection of Yellow-rumped Warbler images from Arkansas makes me smile just like a bouquet of wildflowers.
Yellow-rumped Warbler in fall with reflection in a birdbath – Canon R7, f8, 1/125, ISO 1000, +1.0 EV, Canon 100-400mm at 400mm, natural light
This first photo of a Yellow-rumped Warbler and her or his reflection at a birdbath was taken last week. I loved the bird’s inquisitive pose, the silky water, and the clear reflection of the warbler.
I’m sure I will add a few more photos of this yellow-rumped to my photo galleries soon.
Fall Yellow-rumped Warbler on a butterfly bush – Canon R7, f8, 1/800, ISO 2000, +0.3 EV, Canon 100-400mm at 400mm, natural light
Photographing this Yellow-rumped Warbler perched on a butterfly bush was an opportunity I had been waiting for. While I wish the bush had been in full bloom with the warbler on it, I’m happy to have taken this photo.
These warblers have been a bit skittish, so I’ll take images of them each and every time I get a chance too.
Autumn Yellow-rumped Warbler in Arkansas – Canon R7, f8, 1/400, ISO 1250, Canon 100-400mm at 360mm, natural light
This final Yellow-rumped Warbler image was taken yesterday. It was windy, and I felt lucky that the warbler landed on the driftwood at all.
The next few days are also expected to be windy, with rain arriving late tomorrow night or early Thursday morning. A few days of rain will be more than welcome here, given the recent drought in Arkansas and Oklahoma. It’s dry as tinder right now.
Cooler weather is also on the way—maybe that will bring in some more migrating birds!
Life is good.

I collect those collective nouns and a bouquet of Yellow-rumped Warblers is a beauty. As is the bird.
I hope your rains fall. We need some here. Badly.
