Today, I’m sharing a close-up of a young Eastern Cottontail rabbit that I took a couple of days ago while sitting as low to the ground as I could possibly get.

I can’t believe I’ve only shared three Eastern Cottontail rabbit photos until today. I’ve taken hundreds of photos of these rabbits, and I honestly don’t know why I haven’t shared more images of them here. I guess I was more focused on other subjects?
Anyhow, when I saw this young rabbit, I knew the only way to get the low-angle perspective I wanted was to lay down on the deck and shoot through the slats of the railing. That’s exactly what I did.
I should mention that this young rabbit is very used to humans; otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to get as close as I did.
I’ve already edited more Eastern Cottontail rabbit images I took throughout the spring and summer, which I haven’t yet shared in my galleries. It’s almost fall.
I guess I’d better hop to it!🐰
Life is good.

Mia, you are truly the Wizard of Ahhh’s. What a stunning pic! The detail is extraordinary. In fact, I think I can see your image reflected in the rabbit’s eye…or is that a ‘figmentation’ of my imagination? Thanks Mia.
What a cutie.
Beautiful!!!
