I’m sharing this day after Christmas Ring-billed Gull portrait this this morning. I know a lot of people don’t like gulls. I will never be one of those people.

This morning, I’ve been dealing with some WordPress plugin-related issues. Frankly, I’ve grown a bit weary of them. Perhaps my patience is thinning; I haven’t felt well for almost a week now, and one of those plugins has been causing me grief for about the same length of time. I discovered this morning that another one has been causing issues too.

Maybe I should do what gulls do when they’re bothered by something or someone—just screech as loudly as I can. Seriously, why not? It might be great fun.

Just writing that made me giggle.

Why?

Because I could picture myself standing on the frosty ground, arms spread wide, throwing my head back, and screeching until I couldn’t screech anymore. The thought of the looks I’d get is what made me burst out laughing.

Ladies, imagine doing that when some random guy mansplains something to you? Or when some thoughtless dude tells you that you’d look cuter if you smiled? Or even when someone touches you inappropriately?

Send those offensive dudes running or stop them dead in their tracks—by screeching like a gull.

Just picture it.

Now I’m having a laughing fit and I love gulls even more than I did before.

I want to clarify—I’m not running a fever, and I’m not delusional. I’m just relishing my sense of humor this morning. It’s much better than being ticked off.

Life is good.

Mia
