This morning I wanted to share some of the wildflowers I photographed in 2022. Birds are my primary subjects yet I simply can’t resist focusing on wildflowers. Each year I try to add to my wildflower gallery.
This gallery has some of the colorful wildflowers I found and took images of this year. Click on the first photo for a slideshow of the images I took this year and to view them at a larger size.
Unlike 2021, which was horribly affected by our ongoing drought, 2022 was a good year for wildflowers. They were especially great in the mountains where just enough moisture fell to help them along. I was delighted and enchanted to have all of these wildflowers and more in my viewfinder in 2022.
I hope that the 2023 wildflower season in Utah blooms with wild and glorious abandon!
Life is good.
Mia

Hi Sweetie ! These photos of all the flowers lifted my spirits ! they are so beautiful and refreshing to the cold here in Virigina! Burrr this AM !
Appreciate the beauty and the IDs and the change of pace. Thank you and all the best in 2023!
Nature (in all her facets) is solace and heart balm.
As with you, I prefer birds, Mia, but our wildflower season produces great beauty – thanks for sharing.
They are all so vivid! The thing I noticed most, though, was that so many of them also pictured something that flies and breathes or weaves and breathes. You love life. You preserve it with your passion for life. Thanks.
A nice change of pace! There is beauty in everything. All the best for 2023!
We’re looking at a very soggy week ahead, so I’m sure I will be coming back to these colorful lovelies more than once. What a wonderful way to start to close out 2022. 💜
