After nearly 16 hours of outages on my site in the past 24 hours I am not feeling very humorous but still thought I’d share this funny Least Chipmunk butt shot.

Why? Because laughter is good. It is also far better than tearing my hair out about things that are beyond my control.

I can imagine all kinds of funny titles for this Least Chipmunk photo but stuck with the obvious one, a Least Chipmunk butt shot.

This image was taken on my last trip into the Wasatch Mountains before the snow started flying up there. It is probably also the last Least Chipmunk photo that I will take in 2022. So the chipmunk might be saying, “2022 can kiss my tiny, striped butt” because, well, in some ways, 2022 sucked. In some ways though, it was great. Kind of an awakening of sorts.

I remember feeling as playful as the two chipmunks in the chokecherry tree were that morning. It was cool in the mountains and after the longest, hottest summer I have seen in Utah, it felt great. The chilly air made me tingle and feel vibrantly alive. The autumn colors on my drive through the mountains were spectacular.

It is going to be a while before I have these tiny, striped furry chipmunks in my viewfinder again. I know that I hope to have them being playful, funny, and adorable in my viewfinder next spring. These charismatic chipmunks can’t be anything but adorable.

Perhaps the Least Chipmunk was simply saying “All right Ms. Mia, I’m ready for my close up.”

Yes indeed, laughter is good for my spirit.

Life is good.
