It is Superb Owl Sunday so I wanted to share four of the owls that I see most frequently. Barn, Burrowing, Great Horned and Short-eared Owls are the owls that I photograph most often here in northern Utah.

My favorite owl is the one I have in my viewfinder. I can see and photograph owls out where I can smell the scent of sagebrush hanging in the air.

Owls are cute.

I also find them out in the snow-covered marshes that surround the Great Salt Lake.

Owls are tough.

And by looking for them in all kinds of trees in the forests, edges of grasslands and in the city.

Owls are mysterious.

I spot them out in the desert where the winds blow hot during the summer.  Owls are fascinating.

I’m always looking for owls and today is a great day to share some of the owls I see with all of you.

Since I used to live in Florida… Go Bucs! I won’t be watching the game, I’ll be out looking for birds.

Life is good.
