Baby Uinta Ground Squirrel in Spring grasses
I had a nice post planned out this morning about seeing baby Uinta Ground Squirrels up in the Wasatch Mountains yesterday but after a Windows update yesterday my mouse and my keyboard have stopped functioning properly on my desktop computer this morning. Isn’t that just special? So I am working on this post using my Samsung tablet.
Baby Uinta Ground Squirrel nibbling on Spring grass
I was thrilled to see quite a few baby Uinta Ground Squirrels in fields of spring grasses, around the bases of sagebrush, and at the entrances to their burrows. Seeing the baby ground squirrels brought a smile to my face and I must admit my heart skipped a beat. I really think that they are adorable.

These little Uinta Ground Squirrels have been weaned and are basically on their own now. They have a lot of growing up to do before they head underground a few months from now. Until then I plan on photographing them as often as I can.
I am keeping this post short this morning because I am using speech to text from my Samsung tablet to get this posted. I really need to figure out why both my mouse and my keyboard are not functioning properly on my desktop computer this morning.
Life is good. Stay safe.
