Canada Goose foraging in a wooded area – Nikon D500, f6.3, 1/2000, ISO 500, -0.3 EV, Nikkor 500mm VR with 1.4x TC, natural light
I checked the radar/satellite this morning and all I see are clouds hanging over northern Utah. I sure wish I was seeing some snow activity in those clouds. Anything to scrub the inversion out of the valley would be welcomed.
Looking at the extended forecast I see indications that it might snow here on Christmas Day. I hope so because it would it be lovely to have a white Christmas and perhaps I’ll be able to photograph birds with fluffy snowflakes in the frame too.
Just a short post today. Perhaps even the shortest one I have ever done.
Life is good.

Good looking Canada Goose! We’re supposed to have a soggy Christmas. Lovely. :/

I am always jealous of your winter and this year more than ever.
I hear you on the inversion front too – ours is keeping the smoke shrouding the city.
I hope your Christmas and the year(s) to come bring you everything you could hope for.
Merry Christmas Mia
I am out hoping to catch a sunrise like yesterday’s with my camera. No luck but it is warm. My car says 45 degrees.
It seems the country is experiencing weird weather. We had below zero temperatures both in November and December, before the 21st of December, when the temperatures are supposed to be at least in the 20’s with highs in the 30’s and low 40’s being the average. We usually have only a dusting or snow flurries, but the last two months we have had several inches on the ground, warm spell melted it, and again 4+ inches is not usual. Unfortunately, the weather moves from West to East, or we would be delighted to share some of our snow cover with you!
Always the Big Question here too, this time of year (it’s looking good for Vermont at the moment). Here’s wishing you snow in Utah soon. And thanks so much for sharing your wonderful images all year with us.
