This post is for the people who have subscribed to my blog post notifications and receive an email as soon as I post.
I recently became aware that there were ads at the bottom of the email that was automatically sent out to you all when I published my blog post this morning. Those ads were not supposed to be there at all, they were initiated by the Jet Pack plugin that is responsible for sending out those emails.
I did some research on the matter and those ads will not be appearing again. This is from one of the members of the Automattic Jet Pack team:

Hi everyone. I have an update. First of all, I’d like to apologize. The change has now been reverted. The Email ads were implemented for WordPress.com site owners using the free version of WordPress.com, and should not have appeared at all in emails for Jetpack sites like yours.
Future emails for posts from your sites will not include any ads.
So, mystery solved and I’m sorry if that email alarmed any of my subscribers.
Mia
Thanks for the advice Mia. Bill Richmond
No problem. Thanks for letting us know.
Thanks for the explanation and more thanks for not including ads on your blog posts.
Thanks for the heads up Mia…Life Is Good!
I thought I had clicked on a wrong email this morning. Nice that it’s fixed and so quickly.
Yes, it is nice they fixed it so quick.
I forward the email to one person but I do it so automatically & by habit that I didn’t scroll down and see the ads.
not cool
No worries. But thanks for fixing it. Looking forward to your next post. Thanks Mia.
Thanks Pepe!
Thanks. I was wondering what happened. As a WordPress user, due you get all comments? I am getting next to none from Apple. Thinking of switching
Ian, I do get an email for every comment made here. I really like WordPress because of that.
Ha! I have become so oblivious to ads I didn’t even notice.
I only forward the emails to one person and I do it so automatically that I didn’t see the ads. Glad they got it sorted out.
