Yellow Warbler looking up into the sky – Nikon D500, f7.1, 1/1250, ISO 800, -0.7 EV, Nikkor 500mm VR with 1.4x TC, natural light
I woke late this morning because I forgot to set my alarm. That was bad enough since it might be sunny today.
Then another site on the same server as mine was under attack and crashed the server and my database needed to be fixed before I could bring my site back on line and that took time.
So I’m just posting this sweet, little Yellow Warbler this morning because I have been missing our summer birds. I have been missing all birds actually because it seems like forever since I have been out into the field. This Yellow Warbler photo was taken in August of this year and I liked the way the bird was looking up into the sky.
Sorry for the brief post but I have to get a move on so I can get out into the field…
Life is good.

Lovely photo, yes I have been missing all birds. I have about given up going out. I have more in my yard this year.
A sunny charmer.
I do hope you get better weather. Soon.
Appreciate the reminder. Very mild here for now.
I miss the summer birds too. It is 1 degree here too in Southern Ontario but that’s Celsius….not Fahrenheit.
Thanks for this! A nice reminder of summer so close to the winter solstice (and 1 degree morning temperatures in Vermont).
Thanks for sharing a little summer sun with this lovely little yellow warbler and links to other yellow warbler posts. It’s always a glorious day to capture images of these little balls of sunshine. Maybe today is a good day to chase the sun instead of early morning birds, Mia. Perhaps take a drive to scout out new locations for later shooting. Sometimes fate has other plans that overrule our intentions. Make lemonade out of the lemons dealt by alarm clock and dealing with your server and database and find some sun and new opportunities 😊
