Wet and Bedraggled Swainson’s Hawk – Nikon D810, f6.3, 1/320, -03 EV, Nikkor 500mm VR with 1.4x TC, natural light, not baited
It was rainy yesterday evening in southwestern Montana and eastern Idaho but that didn’t stop me from getting this image of a wet and bedraggled Swainson’s Hawk in the Centennial Valley.
This morning the light is much better, the rain has stopped, and I am hoping to spend more time with this Swainson’s Hawk today.
Life is good.

Hi! beautiful! You still are able in rain, sun or other times get great photo’s! Keep up the great work! Have a great time shooting!
Wet and bedraggled perhaps. But beautiful. So very beautiful.
Thank you EC
I like the shot, always wonder how birds do in the rain and what their saturation point is.
Thanks Jane. I feel bad for them when they are so wet
That’s one solid, stolid looking bird! I can guess how that bird feels….
Me too Patty!
