Stormy weather, mountains and golden grasses of the Centennial Valley, Montana
I can not help but to feel a sense of wonder or be enchanted by the wild majesty of the Centennial Valley in southwestern Montana. No one image can convey everything that it is because there is so much to see. It humbles me to be a part of it and it a part of me.
The earth, like the sun, like the air, belongs to everyone — and to no one. — Edward Abbey
The earth that we enjoy now doesn’t just belong to us who walk upon it today, it also belongs to those who haven’t been born yet.
We need to take care of it for ourselves and those to come.

I like the image and the quote. Abbey may have been influenced by Rousseau who wrote: The first man who, after enclosing a plot of land, saw fit to say: “This is mine,” and found people who were simple enough to believe him, was the true founder of civil society. How many crimes, wars, murders, sufferings and horrors mankind would have been spared if someone had torn up the stakes or filled up the moat and cried to his fellows: “Don’t listen to this impostor; you are lost if you forget that the earth belongs to no one, and that its fruits are for everyone.”
