Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge & Wild things
And some who can not.
Count me as one of those people who can not live without wild things. I need the wild things as surely as I need food, one feeds my body and the other my spirit, passions and desires. I need the peace, solitude and the joy that all wild things give me to help soothe away the concerns, worries and stresses of everyday life.
I am never more comfortable in my own skin than I am when I am surrounded by wild things be they mountains, streams, lakes, forests, oceans, deserts or the wild inhabitants of the land, water or sky.
I am a part of the wild things even though my outsides might be adorned with the trappings of civilization my heartbeat still tells me I am wild.
I hope that the wild things will always be with us and that those who currently believe they don’t need wild things will come to realize that each of us do.
Mia
PS: I am heading out this morning to immerse myself in the wild. Please feel free to share this post.
We ALL need the wild things. Some of us just don’t realise it. Yet.
