Willet Delight – Nikon D200, handheld, f5.6, 1/1250, ISO 400, Nikkor 80-400mm VR at 400mm, natural light
For those of us; including myself, who are tired of gray, cold days I thought this Willet photographed in Florida might delight in the sweet light, sea foam and warm Gulf waters the image contains. Just looking at it took me back to the morning I created it and the memories of the wet sand I was laying on, the strong sea breeze coming in from the west, the sound of the waves rushing onto the shore and the salty tang in the air.
Willet delight or won’t it?
Life is good.

Just want to say this is a really lovely photograph, Mia. The light is superb. It makes me yearn for summer!
Mia, great shot and your word description depicts the setting perfectly! Was out there the other day, but it was a bit chilly (for us!). Looking forward to that warm surf soon.
Lovely light on this one!
I feel the warm water…ah-h-h.And lying on the sand…ah-h-h.Thanks.
Oh, it will definitely delight. Thank you.
I can almost feel it!
It is definitely a delight!
One of the rewards of photographing nature is just this ..to capture the moment so we can view again and again, when the weather or poor health prevents us from getting out-of-doors. Thank you for sharing the details with us Mia. Glen
