Juvenile Burrowing Owl – Nikon D200, f7.1, 1/750, ISO 250, Nikkor 200-400mm VR with 1.4x TC at 400mm, natural light, not baited
It is hard for me to believe it is already Thanksgiving, where did most of 2013 go?
I have so very much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I see the most incredible things in nature and I am blessed to be able to capture it all through my lens.
I have the best of old friends, wonderful new friends and the greatest best friends. I am thankful for all the people I meet because of my passion for photography, whether in person or on line.
I am thankful for my family and even though they live far away they are in my thoughts today. Especially this year.
And I am thankful for all of you who come to my blog and read about my images and the stories behind them.
Thanks.
Mia

I’m thankful for your great work Mia, and the stories you share with the pictures. We live in a wonderful country, in spite of its imperfections — democracy is still the best way.

Thanks Mia for rescuing me on bird ID.
One day we’ll have to meet face to face. 🙂
