Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in spring
I love the beautiful early morning light, the wildflowers blooming in the foreground, how the sunlight is kissing the tops of the grasses and mountain tops, the snow and the lovely, fluffy clouds. There is fog hugging the hillside on the right side of the frame and this image shows the wide floor of the Centennial Valley. I feel like every memory of the morning I created this image comes flooding back to me in a gentle wave.
Tomorrow… an image where I can’t explain why I love it.

This is just a SUPERB image. Love the light, the colors, the textures . . .
It’s wonderful when an image triggers the emotions you describe. For me, it evokes a strong urge to visit Red Rock Lakes NWR in the spring.
Beautiful image. The Centennial Valley scenery is truly magical. We had the opportunity to visit in July and can’t wait to go back.
A most stunning scene! Fantastic depth, detail and color. I can see why this image is one of your favorites. Excellent work, Mia!
