Utah American Barn Owl in flight
I do! I do!
There is something I find utterly appealing and mesmerizing when I see an American Barn Owl in flight like this one as it flew past me last winter at Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area.
I love the American Barn Owl’s deep-set, dark and mysterious eyes, the silent way that they glide past, their heart-shaped face plus their beautiful colors and patterns.
Personally, I love all kinds of owls including Great Horned, Barred, Short-eared, Barn and Burrowing Owls too!
Yes, I do love owls and I am ecstatic every time I photograph them, I can not resist them.
And why should I?
Life is good.

Hi! Hope I’m on the right website? I have missed your wonderful Photo’s
You are on the right web site again Mom!
Wow!
Hi! I love Owls also! I was trout fishing in a very small stream and did not see the baby Owl in the bushes until its mother flew into my head and raked me good. I looked up and saw the little Grey ball of fur! I ran and mom still chased me for a ways! My hair still parts in the top of my head! She really hit me hard!
I know I should not but I hoot at the 3 that talk at nite where I live and they answer me.
Thanks for the great photo’s of everything sogreat!
oh yeah!
Me too, me too (too whit too whoo).
ohhh, this owl is beautifull in this attitude, and the bokeh is excellent, great job mia =)))
Found on every continent except Antarctica, this is Steve Chringren’s (World of Flight birdshow at Hogle Zoo) favorite owl for its beauty. His young daughter once described its color as a perfectly toasted marshmellow, he says after the owl has flown over the audience. I do miss those birdshows. Nice image of a wild one, Mia.
Agreed. It’s one of the birds that every time I see it in person, I gasp and say “It’s so BEAUtiful!” Just say yes. =)
I love them as well!!! And when one is seen, the world stands still!
I love owls too. Gorgeous capture of the Barn Owl, Mia!
And do I, beautiful creatures.
