Adult Black Skimmer in flight – Nikon D200, handheld, f5.6, 1/750, ISO 200, Nikkor 80-400mm VR at 240mm, natural light
Sorry for this being just a single image but I’m tired from writing a very long post I published yesterday on Image Thieves – Copyright Violations. I took this photo in Florida in 2008 as the adult Black Skimmer flew by whilst giving me “the eye”. Isn’t the color of the Gulf of Mexico behind the bird simply delicious?
Mia
Very nice Mia. I hear ya on the thieves. I am licensing one of my works tomorrow for use. Lots of pirates out there. If they knew how much time and energy went into those shots! Well I love every minute of it….but still…..stealing images is wrong. And that’s why watermarking everything is important.
Chris, I agree, stealing images is wrong. I believe more people need to be aware of the time and effort that goes into our work, the cost of our gear, etc. I love every minute in the field too.
Luxurious colors ( I was trying to think what word fit ;).
I love the word luxurious Stu! Thanks for your comment.
Beautiful bird, brilliant photo also.
Thanks Bob!
