Reddish Egret in flight – Nikon d200, handheld, f6.3, 1/400, ISO 250, Nikkor 80-400mm VR at 160mm, natural light
Just a very simple image today of a Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens) flying over some sand dunes. I noticed the egret flying in my direction and quickly backed up my zoom so that I knew I’d fit the whole bird in the frame. It was nice and sunny to the east but a storm was coming in from the west over the Gulf of Mexico, I like the stormy sky in the background and how the vegetation on the dune grounds the frame.
Life is good.
