Yesterday I photographed these Showy Milkweed blooms in a summer rain. I'd gone up into the Wasatch Mountains to seek some solitude even though it was cloudy.

Wet Swainson’s Hawk In A Storm

This adult male Swainson's Hawk was perched near his nest in a light rain and although he looked soaking wet that didn't appear to bother him much at all.

Two days ago I photographed something I had never seen or documented when I stopped to take photos of a Uinta Ground Squirrel and it started eating a big, fat earthworm.

Since I began photographing birds in Florida I have gotten used to getting wet to photograph shorebirds, wringing wet at times but my gear has never been as wet as it was the day I took these images from inside the pickup.
