I had a great time photographing three recently fledged Red-tailed Hawks from two different nests in northern Utah yesterday morning.

This juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk was perched on a metal fence post so I opted to go for a portrait to remove the "hand of man".

Soon after that I saw the shape of a larger bird near where the Coyote had gone into the sagebrush which turned out to be an adult Short-eared Owl.
