Western Meadowlark on the wingWestern Meadowlark on the wing

The smaller a bird is the harder it is to get flight shots of them and track them with a long lens so I was very happy to get this Western Meadowlark on the wing. The bill of my Western Meadowlark is a bit blurry even though I had a shutter speed of 1/2000 and the wings still show some motion blur but I do like the pose, the background and the eye contact.

Antelope Island State Park is a wonderful place to see and photograph Western Meadowlarks, they can be found all over the island.

Life is good.
