It has been quite some time since I posted a Bald Eagle here so today I present this adult in a landing pose that I photographed in February of 2011 at Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area.

Landing adult Bald Eagle, Farmington Bay WMA, Davis County, UtahLanding adult Bald Eagle – Nikon D200, f6.3, 1/500, ISO 400, +1.0 EV, Nikkor 200-400mm VR with 1.4x TC at 400mm, natural light, not baited

Bald Eagles have such a large wingspan that whenever I see their wings fully spread I find myself quite in awe of them, especially their ability to turn quickly when pursuing prey or when being pursued by another Bald Eagle. Perched or in flight these large raptors are always impressive.

Life is good.
