Snowy Egret in a hurrySnowy Egret in a hurry – Nikon D200, handheld, f6.3, 1/2000, ISO 320, Nikkor 80-400mm VR at 310mm, natural light

Just sharing an image of a Snowy Egret in a hurry that I photographed almost exactly 5 years ago while sitting low in a Florida lagoon. The egret seemed to be in a hurry as it passed me as it hunted for prey. Looking that the foot that is out of the water it is easy to see why the nickname for these wading birds is “Golden Slippers”.

Life is good.
