I believe these to be Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) but if I am wrong I don’t mind being corrected, I do have trouble with female duck ID at times and I appreciate all the help I can get with them.
Mallard and ducklings – Nikon D300, f11, 1/500, ISO 400, Nikkor 200-400mm VR with 1.4x TC at 200mm, natural light
I photographed this family of ducks at Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area in northern Utah earlier this spring. The duckling in the front seems more adventurous than its siblings. The clouds in the sky were reflected on the water and I found that very appealing.

Nice composition Mia. Cute ducklings.
Thanks Elijah, ducklings are always on my “Cute Alert”.
Beautiful. Carol
Thank you Carol
Beautiful shot, Mia. And yes, they are Mallards.
Thanks for the ID help Bob and for your comment.
The ducklings are so adorable! Great reflection of mom as well.
Thank you Tammy.
I love the reflections of the ducklings on the water!
Thank you PrairieBirder!
Love the photo..brings back memories of the ranch in Oregon. We had mallards at the pond and they are such a delight. I agree, the clouds add an appealing touch to the whole composition. Thanks for sharing with all of us. Take care and have a great day..
Thank you Syl, sometimes things just come together great.
